Lead vocalist Christpher Quinn and guitarist Andrew "Andj" Stainer decided that there was too much great new-wave, punk and alternative 80s music that wasn't being performed live - that needed to be. Thus began The Treading Lemmings.
	The current incarnation was formed in January 2004, with Quinn, Andj, & Mr. Marc. R. Andrew joined in slightly after, while Joe Szadowski became the drummer in February 2007. They have performed at DC9, and the Grog & Tankard in Washington, DC; as well as The Zodiac Grill (Gaithersburg), Ri-Ra's Bethesda location, The Whiskey in Annapolis, and Bentz Street Bar & Grill in Frederick.
	We call ourselves an "80's Alternative Rock" band.  We try to keep it "a couple of Duran Duran songs shy of a typical 80's tribute band," so we play the songs we loved that 80's radio forgot.  If you like "Fred" on XM 44, "1st Wave" on Sirius 22, or if you remember WHFS's early 80's "golden days," you'll certainly dig our stuff!
	We're also working in the studio on a new batch of all-original material. We're hoping to have an EP's worth of material by the summer, and more after that. Stay Tuned!
